Obama wasn’t the only one who made people jump out of their beds on Election Day. Master Chief, the main protagonist in the Halo series, came back on the scene that day. If it weren’t for poltics, he’d probably have won the popular vote in the election.

Halo 4 is the beginning of the new Reclaimer trilogy in the Halo series.  It tells the story of the return of an old Forerunner menace.  The game is the eighth installment of the best-selling blockbuster Halo franchise.  It was developed by 343 Industries, a Microsoft owned internal development studio established for the purpose of creating new properties for the Halo series.  The game is set four years after the events of Halo 3 in 2557, and will follow Master Chief as he explores the uncharted shield world called Requiem.  Our hero will discover new enemies, experience the return of the Covenant, and discover more of the Forerunners’ tainted history.

The first game of the Halo franchise, Halo: Combat Evolved, was released on November 15, 2001.  It was a game that brought people together in many different ways.  One of the original first-person shooter games to come out, it gave Xbox the popularity it holds to this very day.

The original developer of the Halo series was a gaming company known as Bungie, which started out as a few undergraduate students at the University of Chicago who had the idea for a simple real-time strategy game.  With Halo, the ultimate goal was to create a game that connects millions of people with similar interests.
