Grand Theft Auto 5 was the year’s most anticipated game. It received an award for the most viewed action/adventure game trailer and award as Game of the Year. Every gamer has been waiting for this, but does it really meet up to expectations?
Grand Theft Auto 5 has a very entertaining and immerse story. You play as the three main criminals: Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. Each character has different clothes to wear and haircuts to choose from. Aside from a clothing store and barber shop, there are also many other stores and entertainment spots to go to. All of these places are found around the massive city Los Santos, the setting of the game.
The story itself is gravitational, yes, but regardless, GTA had its up and downs. At times, violence was too aggressive and certain scenes were depressing. You can also expect to hear dozens of curse words being thrown around (the game was rated Mature for a reason). The story mode was appealing and had quite a bit of humor to keep it rolling. The overall length however, felt somewhat short.
In addition to the length of the story, frequent glitches led to controversy. The amount of bugs and glitches players have found online are staggering. Rockstar is doing the best they can to help resolve the issue. Looking past that, there still is fun. Whether it is racing your friends in airplanes or playing a death match against randoms, the game is still time consuming and competitive.
Overall, I would recommend GTA V. The graphics are great, and the game runs smoothly. You wont find any other game like this one. If you haven’t purchased GTA V yet, go do so now!
