On Tuesday December 1st, Albany High played Columbia High School. It was the first game of the basketball season and teachers, family members and friends came out in great numbers to watch their Lady Falcons take on Columbia High.

At 7:00 pm the game tipped and the crowd went wild. Columbia scored first, but the Lady Falcons hung in and set the tone early. It didn’t take long for Albany High to take the lead. The Falcons Nest went wild every time our team had the ball.

Every quarter saw the lead grow. Albany eventually left Columbia in the dust, leading by as many as 14 points. The 4th Quarter got the crowd nervous with anticipation as Columbia closed the gap. But Albany High hung in there and managed to take home the 63-60 win!
